YMCA AFTERSCHOOL DAYCARE: The Hamilton County Department of Education provides before and after school care to accommodate parents who must leave for work before school begins in the morning and do not get home until after school is out in the afternoon. Parents may sign up at any time during the school year. Full day service will be available on days school is not in session (in-service, snowdays, winter vacation, etc.). The hours of operation of this program are from 6 a.m. until 7:50 a.m. and from 3:15 p.m. until 6 p.m. For more information, please call the school (423-238-7300). TARDY BELL RINGS AT 8:20. Students may enter the building at 7:50 AM with the exception of students in the Child Care Program. Students arriving before 8:15 AM must proceed directly to the cafeteria if they are eating breakfast or the appropriate grade level hallway if not. Please bring children to school no later than 8:00 if they plan to eat in the cafeteria. There serving line closes at 8:05 AM. Students will not be exempt from tardies because they arrived late and decided to eat. The bell to allow students to enter the classrooms rings at 8:15 AM. Students are dismissed to class by teacher on duty. The final tardy bell rings at 8:20 AM. Students arriving after 8:20 must be accompanied to the office by an adult to sign the student in for the day. The student will be issued a tardy slip to enter class.
ARRIVAL: For the safety of our students and staff in the mornings, parents of students that are car riders are asked to come through the car line to drop the children off in front of the building with the teachers. If you choose to park and walk your children in, you will need to leave them with the teachers in the front foyer.
BREAKFAST: Breakfast will be served from 7:50 am to 8:05 am.
